I use a user variable in MySQL to control the operation of triggers in my database. These variables are set in a service with the following Java code:
sql = "SET @disableTriggers=0;";
This code has worked properly for a long time but now when the service executes the executeUpdate() method it throws a null pointer exception.
Has something changed with the JRE (build 1.7.0-03-b05) or Hibernate. I am using Wavemaker 6.4.6GA
Thanks for any help.
I'm a java/j2ee developer and of late I heard about WaveMaker. I want to know if its suitable for large enterprise application and the methodology to be followed. I'm not quite confident because of it being drag and drop.
I am running tomcat 5.5.27 and every time I try to start the application I get and error message:
1) caused by java.rmi.ServerException IOE; nested exception is:
2) java.rmi.UnmarshalException: error unmarshalling arguments; nested exception is:
java.net.MalformedURLException: unknown protocol: felix
I could not find any solution for this exceptions.

I'm looking for a way to have an external login to wavemaker application - like Facebook, Google or LinkedIn. Any idea on how to do this?
I was looking for any info or tutorial on how to introduce a new security provider -but could not find anything.
I was checking as well some Java library for OAuth, but still I don't have a clear idea on how to use it with Wavemaker security provider/login functionality.
I'm new to WaveMaker, I only came across it today and so far it looks pretty cool, But before I delve too much into it I wanted to get some advice from the WaveMaker Community.
I've been creating websites for several years using Wordpress and know that product well. I love creating websites that help bring people together and have also created some nice phpBB forums. I love using computers but I'm not too much into programming and prefer using visual tools to create software (e.g. Visual Basic, Microsoft Access, Yahoo Pipes, etc).
My name is Rich, and I joined under a different id (rbianco3) a while back but couldn't find my password.
I took a serious look at WaveMaker back then and loved it, just didn't have time to take it to the next level. I have never been a fan of Java, but WaveMaker is changing that.
The latest release of WaveMaker completely blew me a way-- I can remember the feelings when I first saw PowerBuilder back when version 3 was coming out, like I was looking at something years ahead of its' time. Nothing has "wowed" me since then like PB did.
Have my forms done in html doing nothing at the moment, need a good db architect to get my project going,Cheers, you can reach me on skype, my userid is:silverbuyer ot email me at email@example.com
(Sorry about reposting. I just realised that this is the right spot for this question, and the Welcome forums are a little deserted!)
I am a seasoned programmer. I know a bunch of languages.
I have been waiting for a visual web development system for... gosh it must be about 5 years now. I promised myself that when one was available, I'd jump on it.
It is time.
I have a few catches, and a bunch of questions.
I am trying to research how (or if) it would be possible to split up work on a development project between developers using WaveMaker and others using more conventional tools (such as eclipse).
What I have figured out:
- I have created a test app in wavemaker and deployed it (war) to the cloud service we are most likely going to use (cloudbees).
- I have opened this same project in eclipse by simply creating a workspace in the projects folder of my wavemaker installation and creating a project with the same name.
I am looking for a how-to document on migrating Oracle Forms to Java applications but I do not find any. I appreciate if you could point me in the right direction.
We are a small ISV and have a complex PowerBuilder Client Server Application that we have built for the Motion Picture and TV industry over the past 12 years. We need to provide some or all of our functionality via the web. We have looked at Appeon but it will not work for Mac clients or other tablet devices. We would like to offer solutions for Mac's and iPads as well as PC's. We are on the fence about PowerBuilder .Net and are looking for alternative solutions for the future.
Does anyone have any insight into the differences between Wavemaker and Dabo, Radria, or OpenLaszlo?
I'm a Delphi developer and have been for the past 14 years. Currently, my applications primarily use Firebird as their back end. I've been looking at producing a web version of one of my applications and am looking at Wavemaker as a possible way forward.
The main questions I have are :-
1. Can I use my existing Firebird database directly from a Wavemaker application?
2. Will the community edition allow me to develop my app as SAAS for my existing clients as well as running on their own web servers?
Hi, is there a module for wavemaker, which generates me webservices from let's say my objects or self defined interfaces ?
I am thinking, if it's clever to use web edition on a project where in first line isn't needed a web client but a smart client... if wavemaker generates much of the buisness logic and some interfaces I could use it for those kind of projects as well.
