The 5.2 Dev Build days are here ! The first ‘dev build’ beta for WaveMaker 5.2 is now available. Download links and other important notes are on the dev build page.
WaveMaker 5.2 first debuted on cloud.wavemaker.com, our EC2 hosted studio late last month. Now, the desktop edition is available to our community as a dev build beta. While many new and improved features in WM5.2 are targeted to the cloud edition, desktop edition users will find lots of goodness with 5.2 too.
No matter which edition your using, you’ll now be using dojo 1.3.2. The new resource manager enables cloud users to add external files to their projects. Desktop users will also find the ability to bind resources via the binding dialog, such as image source property, easier than determining image source paths. We’ve also made it easier to debug your application with features such as the new ‘test’ button that runs your app in debug mode with improved firebug lite support. Import project is another example of a feature desktop users are likely to enjoy too.
We’ve got some work to do before 5.2 will be released. For those who can’t wait, and don’t mind a few bugs, give it a go and let us know what you think.
